I've got some matching sails for your board. Left them in an old trailer and the salt water leaked out and stained the sails with rust.
Leave it on.
If anyone asks tell 'em it is blood.
If they don't believe you tell 'em that is what colour blood goes when mixed with sweat and tears.
Just got bored and removed all the staining that my sonic had from using it in the river. Brown tanning type stain, CLR left overnight got it all white and shiny. Hopefully a couple of knots faster (should I have left a strip down the centre like a racing stripe ?)
I assume it gets stained because I stick it back in the bag without letting it dry and never wash it. Will see how long it takes to come back.
Use a product called Ranex. Available all hardware stores. It is a rust convertor and it eats stains like nothing else. I use it neat around my boat but on a board like that I would dilute it 50/50 with water. Dont walk away as the stain will go in a minute or so. Give the whole board a good rinse after. No need for scrubbing.
