We have been waiting a long time, for this board, THE FOX, It is a high wind heavy chop board perfect for the choppy conditions most of us have to deal with. If you ride in choppy water, this board is going to be one of the fastest board in these conditions, heavy V running thoughout will smooth out the heavy chop and allow you to keep your speed up over great distances.

Mr Severne was blasting around at Melville last Friday on one. Made everyone else look slow.

Looks good. How come that niche of the market has been so long filling?

But why didn't they call it the Thylacine? The only animal every designed with the back legs shorter than the front, so it can blast downhill at high speed in rough terrain.

there seems to be heaps of new options for us this season, boards & sails.

Just need to know the dimensions then someone can order one.

A big call designing a board like this. There's a lot of fins out there looking for a new board. One of each maybe? Fox T and Fox P.

Or Fox Universal ie. A whole new fin box designed to take secure adaptors for either fin base.

only see one hole in the video..... so powerbox is my guess, it really sh!ts me when they release so called freerace boards and you need to change your fins if you want one......

Maybe it was more to do with the standard of the guys sailing near him at the time?

They are powerbox as they are a freeride/freerace board and most in that market are powerbox,I asked the question a few months ago to them

That seems to contradict their own long existing philosophy, as both the Futura and Carve are TB.

Fair enough then. As for me I'll just never consider one because of the box.

I find that really hard to believe. Hopefully this will be clarified once further details are available.

* what I mean is that the board is developed by *board and sold under severne, nothing wrong with that; other products do that.
Was not saying that severne had rebranded an existing *board model.

I saw the board last year being developed/tested and it wasn't by severne

*It's ideal for my sailing conditions, pity I'll never buy one because of the power box

^^^ pretty sure this ones been designed right here in WA by a reasonably well known board shaper. It's certainly been tested here. I'm sure severne will release more info when they're ready....

in the end all that matters is that it looks like an awesome board, and I'd love one but it should be equiped with a bloody TT box !!!

I could be totally off here but my guess it's a Ian Fox designed board, and more than likely developed and tested much of the time here in port Phillip bay, Victoria.

I got a Tuttle box put in my Kode.

Easy job for a pro, looks like the board came with it, cost $250 but worth it if you like the board and already have good Tuttle box fins.
