hi there folks,

Am a total newby to the forum but a distant admirer on all board repair tips shared here.

Sadly, I totally got caught out by a brutal shorebreak the other day, and my board got stuck between the groynes taking some harsh pounding. The result is there to see.

Am an intermediate rider and have some experience fixing a couple of boards that suffered some serious damage. On this one, I am not sure if I should even consider trying. It is a carbon board. Any tips/advice appreciated!

Not worth it. Buy another 2 hand one for less than the $ of the repair .

agreed. That is a major repair for an expert and would cost more than the board is worth.

It would be less work to build a new board.

Get those gents who use Gorilla Glue to help fix it. Insert all smileys that apply
.
unless pressed for storage, I would keep it, never know when you may want to experiment .

Alright, that settles it. The question then is not whether to repair or not, but to store or not. I will probably stick it in the attic as a Frankenstein-board to be. Thank you good folks!

Nah don't keep it, it's fooked.
Rip the fin boxes out of it for future projects and dump it.
No point hanging onto dead boards.

It's a wall hanger, homage to a dead soldier.
I've got several "dead soldiers" hanging in my garage.

put it on the wall in a shed or garage and use it to tell stories after a few beers.

All brilliant suggestions. Like the one about the finbox @hoop in particular. Uhm, actually, @Madge is pipping it to the post, as the 'few beers' are involved, and could be repeated, ad nauseam if so desired.
