I've used a tandem a few times. Up front you float above the water. Probably feels like foiling.

They used to play this track pretty religiously at the PWA world cup in Germany.
Once again it continues, I have never seen a tandem (or more) successfully complete a gybe or even a tack, so still don't know if it can be done. Not that I really care. But breaking that board was definitely no surprise.
