Im in. Now just got to try to be planing for 62 minutes non stop! How hard can that be?
Geez Dave, for a guy as young as yourself it should be a walk in the park!
Love the one-hour!!!! I think it's by far the most underrated component of our GPS sailing. Generally I find that if you get a good one-hour, you've pretty much done well in most of the other parameters as well.
Bring it on!!!!
Oh, and thanks Dylan & Co for hosting it

I figure that on the right breeze we could squeeze in 3-4 gybes and have almost 25knt average. This is our summer goal and get a 30knt in the bay. Dunsborough return runs of about 16km each way.
Australind can give 8-10km runs too and flat water.
Only 7 days to get your entries in
Lots of random draws including your choice of a Tribal fin.
You don't have to be a member of a club this year.
Prizes for each GPSTC division.

16kms!
Wow that would be nice! Makes it a hell of a lot easier..here's a recent hr I did.. it's actually more than that but you can see the concentrated area - that's the hr..
I suppose other people have places with even shorter runs!
This my hour pb at Lipton's last year. About 1.5km runs with a bit of chop in the channel in the middle. Good wind and flat water to gybe on still made a decent hour possible
Here's mine from Coodanup wind was strong from the SSE which it sometimes swings to late in the day. Runs of maybe 2.5kms with smooth water the whole way . I was only gybing well on one side as I was still getting back into windsurfing and fell off 4 times in the hour. Best conditions for an hour I have ever seen and I think a top sailor could of been pushing towards a 30knot hour on this day.
Our session yesterday. NM in the middle, blue. Where the 'W' is shows the drain near the GBYC. Run were approx 9km and about 1km off the beach. A great sessions with heaps on the water, crowded actually.... almost ran into Steve a few times. LOL
And this shows Dunsborough with the sand bar out the front at top left. We did 40km yesterday
Don't forget to get your entry in for the November Hour of Power sponsored by SUNSHINE COAST BOARDSPORTS, KA SAILS and TRIBAL FINS.

I think that the 1hour concept is very interesting as it requires physical stamina, very well trimmed equipment and a constant breeze.. I didn't find the right wind conditions in Denmark this year, but I hope that my GPSTC team from Italy will join the European HOUR OF POWER next year!
Regards, Claus
