Morning all

I've been looking around the web but haven't been able to solve my issue. Are the launch locations in the KA72 output pre-determined or can you add others? If so, how do you add a new location?

For me I mostly sail on Sydney's Northern Beaches. I'd like to add a launch site for RPAYC, Newport rather than across the bat at Bayview, and Govenor Philip Park or Barrenjoey rather than Sandy Point Palm Beach. It's more for me to help classify my race tracks than anything else.

Thanks

I was just here to post on another topic and saw this had no replies so I thought I'd weigh in.

Directly under the track overlays is a link with the text "Click here to report a track issue" that you can use to report that a track's location is wrong or that a new location needs to be added.

This won't guarantee that a new location gets added, however.

I don't tend to allow location names that are "local" names for a spot. They must be names that appear on a map.

Also, locations are pinned to the starting point of a track file (since tracks tend to start on beaches, and it is beaches that have names, not stretches of water), so if requesting a new location, it is best to use a track that starts squarely in the middle of the specific beach you are requesting a new name for. All existing tracks that also start at a point that is closer to this starting point than any other location, will get "moved" to the new location. So your request can affect existing data.

Thanks for the reply and the email Dylan.

I have done as you described and await the results.
