Congratulations to Tassie Speed Seekers for winning the Australian GPSTC well done you deserve it sailing in those cold conditions.
Also second in the world that's good for Australia.
Great effort by all teams making it a good comp.
WEll done "Map of's" or More politely Tassie Speed Seekers!! Any Team that wins the GTC overall has earnt it and deserves the glory and name on that Trophy, its truly a grueling 12 months of competition!! There's always unlucky teams, particularly when the wind doesnt co-operate during the year, but there's no LUCK in winning!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done guys. I don't know how you do it in such a cold weather. If it's me, I would be sitting next to a heater watching windsurfing movies..... and dreaming.
Thanks guys, was a good year for wind down here in TAS, with lots of keen sailors willing to brave the cold to make the most of it. .
thanks all ,its great to be part of a great competition and the windsurfing community that is GPS team challenge
Congratulations Tassie Speed Seekers!
I observe that it must help to have a few keen young sailors on the team to spur the 'experienced' guys along and drag them out in the cold and on road trips!.
Good for you guys! That's what it takes.
And also congratulations to the Moreton Bay Mob for a healthy 2nd place over those fast finishing WA guys.
Bring on 2014.
Cheers
Marty
Thanks everyone for comments (not that I did much other than make up the numbers) but I did notice as a team you don't even have to win a month you just have to be consistent.to win the year overall.
Looking forward to another year of blasting around
Happy sailing
Great job Tassie Boys( & Kazza) Another Brilliant session today .The Team spirit amongst the TSS members is 2nd to none .Well done on a convincing win !!
Thanks everyone! It surely is a great thing to be part of the Tassie team, the young(under 21 apparently), the old(Perks) and those of us in the middle(not Dave) thrive off the energy and passion of each other. 2014 looks to be another great year for the team with a number of PB's today and the Tassie 2second record blown to bits. Izaak, Cookie and Perks all smashed the previous record with Perks adding about 2knots to the old score and coming out on top with a little bit of Perks magic, this makes him the most marked man in Tassie and will no doubt be 'taken out' in a dark alley one quiet night before the next big blow
Scanned from local paper today
What!...no mention of the GPS Team Challenge . Great article guys.
Sorry for not doing sooner. Congrats once again and some incredible category speeds across the year (especially the hour and Nm...and oh the Alpha as well)
Thank you everyone. It's great to be part of such an enthusiastic team, they're so enthusiastic it's really difficult to become a contributor in your own team.By the way it ain't that cold down here this time of the year, I've actually gone down to my 3.2 wetty and I have to fall in a lot to cool down.
