Apparently the old topic was two old to continue.
It has been a bit of a slow year in NSW, but the last weekend has seen some great new numbers
Matt D and Tim S have improved their PBs (In NSW) recently and a big welcome to Aaron and Barry.
Interestingly none of the new results have been posted with Motion devices, I would have assumed they were the current device of choice for those seeking verifiable top speeds.
Notes on the table.
1. The table shows the best 2 secs speeds posted on GPSTC, with Doppler approved devices
2. The changes since the last post have the names highlighted in green.
3. The File column indicates that either the file is on KA72 or has been privately sent to me.
4. I check all the files in Realspeed, KA72 and GPSResults. (For the Motion I use KA72, GPSResults and GPSspeedreader) I compare all the different error data provided by these programs but only publish the "+/-" error from GPSResults.

Very nice. It would help to include the dimensions! Are those knots or mph?
And yes, I would not trust a single 2" reading, what is the +-? the standard deviation over the 5 best 2"? If so it would be more interesting to give the range for the 5 best, I really doubt that the max speed distribution is symmetric.
Speeds are in kts.
The table is just 2 sec peak speeds, I agree there is always some doubt as to the accuracy of peak speeds.
The +/- is an indication of the accuracy from GPSResults
For example looking at the top of the table speed of 44.699
Statistically there is a 95% chance that the actual speed recorded was between 44.330 and 45.068
Another impressive 2s was made in Luderitz ! Dunckerbeck is still going strong : www.redbull.com/int-en/bjorn-dunkerbeck-breaks-windsurf-top-speed
2 Secs peaks on 18-Nov-21
Hans Kreisel 55.11 Best speed ever on GPSTC
Bjorn Dunkerbeck 54.98
Twan Verseput 54.2
Not too shabby....
Latest update to the NSW speed table.
Congratulations to Matt Dowse and Andrew Daff for improving their speeds.
