might I suggest everyone goes back to the reason why this thread was started in the first place on page one!!!!
Thanks for your efforts Chris, fingers crossed I can score a lucky door prize. Good job mate
Its not Chris. DONT E-MAIL. May be some sort of scam.
My big mistake. It is Chris. Do email. Long live the LG Speed Pilgrimage and all who promote and encourage future LG informal gatherings.
Re Read Page ONE first Entry !
I didn't make it down this year but hope all who did had a great time and enjoyed the Flat (ish) water on offer.
thanks to Chris for making the phone calls and personal visits to Sponsors to gather the prize pool....
thanks to Decrepit for Re-donating a Huge prize from last year.
Good luck in the up coming draw to all those who sailed and put in their times..
Lets hope the event (or non Event) can run again
Thanks Chris for your work
Thanks Jamie for looking after all the visiting Sailors
AHHHHH, the old memory thing again, forgot all about 1st entry on page one!

The Beachport Hotel has generously offered prizes to support the event, and to say thank you for the patronage shown by these windsurfers each night at the pub.
The fastest 2-Sec speed:
Jacques Kint with a respectable 46.29 knots! Well done Jacques. For your efforts, you have won a Coopers Surfboard.
The following two prizes were randomly drawn:
George Martignoni - A Carlton 'Mid' Esky
Jarreau - A Carlton 'Draught' Esky
May I ask that George and Jarreau please contact the Beachport Hotel on 08 8735 8003 to arrange delivery of your prizes. And Jacques, can you please contact me directly. Please note, prize winners will need to pay for and arrange delivery of their prizes.
Thanks very much to everyone who participated.
Congratulations Jacques, I had the luck to be there that day, you and the others showed me how it's done.
Jamie, I would be happy if you collected the Esky, I think you deserve it more than me, and you know how to make good use of it. Besides I would have to upgrade to a bigger trailer to be able to carry it around !
See you everyone next year
Well done Jacques & thanks for the effort in putting together the results Chris etc.
Very happy Qld did well.
Well it wasn't the best season we have seen at Lake G, but there was still some good wind to be had over the months, and the day the best speeds were done it was the windiest I have ever seen it, I can only imagine what we could have achieved if the starboard carpark run was working.....
Great to meet some more speedies from around Oz, and good to catch up with the old.
Thanks to Chris for putting this together, even if its not official, it is still a speed event we all get the chance to do, cos there isn't that many we get to do in Oz..
Thanks to the Beachport Hotel for the support of the event and feeding me my steak and chips and Rum.....Yum....
And Jamie for the Lake updates and the Bed in the Connewarre Shak, sorry I mean, the Blow Room, sorry, The Wind Shak.
Lets all hope for more wind and less water for next year, and I will see you all there again, and again......
jk
It was great to catch up with sailors again this year. I think that is what makes the road trip worth the effort Many thanks to the Pub for providing great meals & fellowship, allways great to catch up with the brag stories & the tails of I shudda rigged XYZ used a different fin. OH year acheiving my 40knt goal was something special As was the night in the King Chair in the WindShack. Jamie is a wonderful and gracious host who must have a very understanding wife(she gave up her weekend when the Speed Demons crashed the shack) I did post my results but my email failed to get delivered on time (sad for a IT guy) Would have snagged a 3rd in the HR
I had a quick visit to LG and scored a couple of PB's but to be honest they weren't the highlight, it was the adventure down from FNQ, sailing with some great guys, sailing somewhere completely foreign to what I'm used to and meeting the Lake George Commodore. Big mobs of thanks to Jamie for his friendly hospitality, company and helpful advice
Congrats to Jacques and everyone else
