Ooooaaaahhh ouchhh! I wince and get a tick in my neck just looking at that. Had a few of them in my time.
I think it serves to highlight just how much better modern gear is, especially the fins in that we don't get anywhere near as many of those huge spin-outs anymore, ....... or maybe it's just that we aren't as crazy anymore and don't push as hard?

Do the speedsailors keep the same numbers for life? why do some use single to double figure numbers rather then use their international #s?
The single/double numbers were registered for speedsailing competition. Yes I think they were registered for life, I recall harty writing something that he was chuffed getting his. Mal would be best person to answer though I reckon.
