It will be quite interesting to use KA72 database to look through the historical data and find what was MAX /2S speeds /all-time record achieved on our most popular spots across Australia ( and maybe outside too).

Spot speeds would be more complete on the GPS-TC database I think, but some here would only be on GPS-speedsurfing from Pre GPS-TC.

This is for our enjoyment and statistics, then we need to trust each other.
Please insert a record for Sandy Point if you know details - date, speed, and sailor.I use Ka72 as an example but any source is good, even somebody private recollection or records not even published but true.
We could create a database about the potential for our speed spots across Australia and beyond.Then if somebody found better record for the spot please feel free to update.

Well my session is the record for the speed runs in Inverloch town including an Alpha 500 spot record, but Spotty holds the outright record for Anderson's inlet at around 45knots 2 sec at Area 45. Kato and I both did 43 that day too.
I'm also pretty sure B-Rad's done a 47 at Lake George....

Thank you for tip, Indeed 43 is done already by BRad in Green Island. Difficult was a bit to find out B-Rad because on KA72 that record doesn't exist but is on GPSTC.

I don't know all places, but every spot should have these local angel guardians, that would carry about their own sites.
BTW .
What I like also we have visitors on our own shores/ runs and suddenly they do incredible speeds on " our water".
I guess/ imagine that one day it could be a good adventure to invite everybody to one single spot at their best wind/ tide condition, everybody from all over AU to test the real potential for the spot.
Some are already well tested by the best, but some still need to be discovered.
A good example here is Burrum Heads or Lake George, Sandy Point when whole Australia comes to test the limits.
I dream that one day we could find the place -" say 40knt - a guarantee" for everybody that comes with right gear or even hire onsite.
For example:
We go to Sandy Point on forecast, right day and tide 35 ktn wind and everybody / should have their dreamed 40 ktn+
If you don't have the right gear, you could hire the right set to make a run.

Manly, Qld a bit of a funny one because it covers lota as well which are completely different spots.
Anyway that 47.42 at Manly is definitely wrong .
Lota is B Rad- 41.66

I need some help from locals to update Moreton Bay correctly.
The geography here is quite complicated and GPS show one entry location and sailing is actually across the bay in another.
So please help to locate all most important spots on Moreton Bay and records with top 2s speeds.
I think there should be a separate entry for:
Wellington Point
Manly
Victoria Point
Wynnum
Aminity
Boobays WA (Shark bay).
Me = 43.542 2sec, Peak over 44. But, Doddi has 46.25 2sec on the same day - 24th Dec 2016.

It looks that finding the exact and correct data is more challenging than just looking at KA72 files.
Let's see my dilemma here.
We have Pointman input 35.72 at Cairns but looking inside file we find another at 39.85 !
but this time at different location, but where?
and the file with 39kn at completely opposite Australia site !
But here is an example how we could do our research to make sure that results are accurate>:
Here we have date and speed from KA72
then we could verify as that not a computer or GPS glitch created a sudden spike
and and the end we could check that location is also as described
So this way I am almost sure I have my data for Vando and Wellington Point right this time
Let's do some water spots cleaning with
our effort we could do it one spot at the time.Can somebody come with better results for LAKE COOTHARABA? The best I found is this one:
