When I view a track Cesium is showing a black background with stars (nightsky), with no map.
This what Cesium shows:
Cesium is doing this with any track I view. It was working OK until yesterday. I have done reboot, and tried different browsers.
same here, anyway the map was offset, so I bypass it by clicking on KML (if you have google earth installed) it will open in it with a much better display

Yes I had that problem too, so will do this, thanks for the tip!
The Cesium plugin has become too hard to maintain. For the moment I've switched back to using Google Maps, which unfortunately doesn't make the different track speed segments very obvious. On the other hand, there is a map, and the track is at least pinned to the ground, which we've also been having problems with recently. If you want to analyse the track in more detail, do as suggested above, click the (KML) link to download the file and open it with Google Earth. This gives a much richer experience.

Could have been night time sailing,
Is KML Mac compatible? When I try to open it it just switches to Text Edit.
Any Ideas.

You will need to have Google Earth installed or some other app that can read kml files.
Apps for Mac that I've seen support the format are:
Google Earth
Merkaartor
Blender with Google Earth import filter.
