Hey Boys and Girls!
we've filled the lake up and its on again!!!
24th November - from the western side of the Illawarra Yacht Club, Northcliff Dr, Warrawong.
theres a more than 50/50 chance we'll be sailing in Griffin's Bay right in front of the club, depending on wind direction on the day - great for the kids, family etc, but not necessarily friendly to formula length fins.
entry is $5 per sailor, which will fund some novelty prizes. This might include something around speed results so bring your GPS!!
If you're not a member of an affiliated NSW club we can organise a $20 membership to cover off insurances
24th same day as the slalom in Lake macquarie! hmm what to do? I'm stuck in the middle.
I'm loving picton road, easy drive to world class speed sailing now!
definitely sucks the two events clash!
forecast (although early days) looks perfect - building NE is the perfect direction and should the right strength at some point during the day for all levels
not quite the perfect 'speed strip' direction but still not bad for 30kn + if we get a NE'r like yesterday
what a great day - the wind was 12kn at the 10am start and built to just over 20kn around 1. 30+ sailors on the water, longboards and slalom boards being used throughout
check out the Illawarra Windsurfing Facebook page for photo's
well done guys, glad you got the wind that we missed out on up north.
Some great pictures too:

Good to see the raceboards still go well when the wind picks up.
