Hi All,

This weekend's looking unreal with 20-25knots of wind forecast all day Saturday. Sign on will be at the Birubi Beach Carpark until 11am SHARP.

There is a possibility of relocation depending on the wind angle (We are still not sure of the exact angle wether its going to be more South West or South) so we need everyone signed on by 11am.

CREST café will be open at 8:30am serving awesome bacon and egg rolls and coffee so get there as early as possible as it will be windy.

Its going to be a huge day so make the effort and get there!!!

See you bright and early on Saturday. Yeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww!!! George

For those that haven't been for some time, check out the new surfclub/café/restaurant and custom made grass rigging area!!

Geez they've done a nice job in front of the surf club.
Great forecast. Good call to hold it back a week!

Time for a reality check guys - Birubi will be nothing like its normal westerly self. It'll be big, unsailably so for most people, messy, closer to onshore than sideshore, and I wouldn't even guarantee the wind will be strong. And the other beaches in the area won't be much good. On the bright side, it might be drier than the last few days.

I can give another forecast tomorrow but it's unlikely to change much.

Geez Wendell. It's gotta be a better option than hanging out with your pessimistic theories on meteorology.
Last weekend of winter with wind, waves, food and beer. Not a bad plan.

10am update

Wind has kicked in but there is a fair bit of rain with it.
Hope to get a photo up prior to lunch and a further conditions update.

For those travelling up, take it easy on the roads, there's a pretty long section of Nelson Bay road that is being re-developed and is now a 60km/h zone with the speed limit being enforced heavily !
