Congratulations to Remi for winning the first heat of the series. He won the first race convincingly, but Byron was very close in the other two races with the two guys only separated by 50 metres after 30 mins of sailing flat out in race 3.
Handicap results plus GPS replay video still to come!
Just a reminder, if you didn't get a chance to pay on the day, or said you would pay online, please do a direct deposit transfer into our club bank account - Marmong Point Sailing Club BSB 062827 Account 00901519. I'm a very average photographer, but hopefully it gives you an idea of what a great days GPS windsurfing it was...Enjoy.
thanks again for all your organising James as well as Muz and Byron's help too.
Looking forward to Myall Lakes and hopefully not quite so much wind
Congratulations to Ben Flood, for winning the Handicap division, with a NET score (ie handicap minus day score) of 8.016. Handicaps are calculated on your top 5 GPSTC results in 2sec, 5x10, alpha and Nautical Mile.
Both Ben and Freerace winner Remi will receive a bottle of wine for their efforts.
I'll work on the replay videos and post later in the week. Thanks again to everyone who was involved, and see you in 3 weeks time at Myall Lakes!
Well done to Ben and Remi top stuff.
But realy well done to every one who competed as said it did get alot beter and drag racing Remi and Justin and every one was so much fun pushing each other.
Spetial mention to Grae he completed all 3 races a top efort for a kid and almost 14 hr average over the half hr not to bad at all.
I'm sad to have missed it! Certainly sounds like you guys had a great day. I'm stranded in Mykonos with no gear and all the windsurfing clubs are already shut for the offseason, even though it's blowing 20130knots for the next 3 days.

Bugger..
Yeah very cool day!
Freezing actually 16 degrees and gusting to 36 knots at SYD airport.
I had fun and would like to give thanks to everybody who did their bit. The committee, Byron, James and Murray. Brett for photos, Bruce for time keeping, the sponsors (love the t-shirt) basically everybody even the spectators who added to the vibe! Oh, and of course the guy who drove the trailer 500m to the event and 500m back to George river SC without incident. That guy was the best.
Some awesome skills on display. Byron 36.8 knots and Remi 24.2 alpha. Grae is freaky talent!! Well done and congratulations to those three especially but also to everybody who just sailed in a difficult event.
I learnt a lot and improved a lot through the day. Competing is the quickest way to fast track your skills I reckon.
