Gday everyone,
Marmong Point Sailing Club is pleased to announce that we will be holding our annual Midwinter regatta on Saturday 12th July.
Racing will be primarily Formula, although slalom and GPS freerace events will be held if it is windy enough.
Registration - 10am
Briefing - 10:30am
First possible start - 11:30am
$20 entry fee
Dust off the formula gear and head down to the club (George St, Marmong Point) for a great day of racing. See you there!
Love your work Byron hope you get back on the water soon. We are getting soft without you around. Any idea when you'll be back on the water?
Byron, you should learn how to sail I'm sure you would enjoy it.
I've seen Byron windsurf and have recorded it on video. He is pretty good.
Elbows no good but just starting to get beter after 4 months have at least another 4 months of no sailing so no racing for me this year.
In the words or the terminator I will be back just not yet

Re: Saturday. Looks good but if there is a weather change, can or will it get moved to Sunday?....cheers
Gday everyone,
A great looking forecast for tomorrow. Racing is definitely on SATURDAY.

If it gets too windy for formula we will run half-hour freerace sessions. So bring your small gear and GPS if you have one, just in case.
Looking forward to a big day of racing tomorrow!
James,
if you are trying to encourage people to come then please no more close ups of Baz. If you are trying to scare tarts & small children, well done.
Thanks for the racing yesterday. 3 back to back races in 15-18knots. Really enjoyed it.
Is it just me or is the water colder than usual?
Also enjoyed the racing yesterday. Thanks James, Neville and Mick. Water looked clearer than usual too.
Perfect winter formula conditions yesterday for our Midwinter regatta. Thanks to David, Brett and Grae for making the trip up from Sydney to join the local sailors.
Three back to back races were held, starting at 12:15pm. Wind was gusty (normal for a westerly) but most of the time plenty of wind for the whole fleet to be powered up on sails ranging from 12.0 to 9.5.
Congratulations to Brett Morris who took first place in the open for all three races, although he had to earn it in race 2 when he got stuck in a lull mid-fleet and David Howe sporting a new PD V2 board stormed ahead until the last downwind run where an extra gybe allowed Brett to get back in front and grab the victory.
Don't forget that Marmong races every saturday from 1:30pm - Formula if wind is light/medium, then slalom or freerace once conditions are suitable.
Thanks to everyone who helped out on the day to make it a successful event.
Well done to Marmong for another successful mid winter regatta, great work ladies and gents. Was disappointed I could't make it myself this year, will be sure to clear the diary for the next one. And nice work Brett and David. Great to see the visiting Storm-riders boys leading the pack around the course.
Bryon we need you + Greg's score to bring the GPS team up higher! They were using mine earlier in the month- no wonder we were about 18th.. Karl boy peel has spoilt me.I used to think Canton was smooth but now it looks choppy as!
A few photos from the event. Sorry they aren't very good . The camera we were using was a little waterproof one with not a very good zoom. Also trying to sail and run anyone over while positioning us the best to try anf get some closer to the action.
Sorry to those we windshadowed and caused to fall in or otherwise caused hassles..
Sorry I
Sorry I think we were the cause of this stack..about to happen -
