Just arrived in Sydney for two weeks, when I left on Friday, I didn't think I would be getting much windsurfing in.
Hopefully it stays green.
Well there's flat water sailing and then there's flat water sailing while spinning and sliding around like a boss, the later is much more fun

Stuffed my hand up last week but should be good towards the end of the week Barn, maybe some weekend FS lake shens
Also will be the debut of the new north/pryde hybrid boom, you won't believe it till you see it!
/end personal convo ^_^
Flamer, last time we had a week of westerlies your hand was stuffed.. You should cut out the downhill and start riding safer..
This looks safe, Bicycle spinning like a boss..
maybe... but not if that little band of dark blue in the South Western Corner of the doppler radar makes it way up the coast:
What is La Perouse, like in a north westerly, or westerly? Been there in a South Westerly, it that best place to be, or is kernel a better option?
Sailed from Foreshore Drive from 11 to 2. Very gusty, and better south of the runways. Faded away towards Kurnell. I discovered that the south half of the channel between the airport and Port Botany is very unfriendly when the wind dies or the wind has a northerly component, both of which happened today. The airport is surrounded by a smooth overhanging concrete wall, 2 metres high, the port side is a 2+ metre high wall, made from chunky concrete blocks. No chance of landing on either side. Took a long time doing upwind reaches to get back. This was made more difficult because the runways create a wind shadow over at least a third of the channel, and one is restricted by the line of floats from the boat launch, parallel to the port side.
In west to southwest winds, these problems wouldn't exist.

Went out on Lake Macquarie Belmont caravan park Tues..lasted 20mins..30-35kts consistent with a crappy 91 model 3.3m + 78ltre board..getting too old.. doesn't help that I was grossly overpowered..needed a 2.5m..
Tuesday... La Perouse on off 20 to 30 knts. 4.7 and 93L board was perfect. Really needed the flotation in the lulls. Boring back and forth sailing but better than working... sadly the ocean is as flat as a lake.
very nice sail in B Bay this avo, large sail, large board, very smooth, stayed dry setting sun, it really took the edge off a stressful few days at work.. this is whats its all about, this sport really is as pure as anything!!!!!!!!!
sorry to all the sailors that are fighting peak hour traffic right about now..........
Ben and I are talking about going again barn, probably more likely in Jan this time though. Must be done, like a bawse
