Round 5 of the series is at Huskisson this coming weekend (Feb 13 & 14), with the formula crew. After the successful running of round 4 at St George SC many will be looking forward to having another hitout. The waters of Jervis Bay are a favourite windsurfing spot and the town/beach is a great place to bring the family. The numbers on the water are growing so hopefully we will have a big turnout.
Briefing is at 10:30am on Saturday with first possible race at 11am. Nick Nelson is course setting and managing us on the water.
It is always good fun to sail with the formula crew, particularly when they are battling for their NSW Championship.
Looking forward to seeing you there
Sailing will be conducted on the waters in front of Beach Street, between the two caravan parks. Rigging is done on the grassy area above the beach.
Well, what a great weekend of racing - great location, great people, excellent race crew (a big thanks to Nick and Ron!), and a great range of conditions. We managed 9 races over the weekend in winds from 2 knots to 25 knots and sea conditions from pretty flat to pretty knarly/choppy. The five races on Saturday were in a building northerly wind, so by the end of the day the conditions were epic! The raceboard is so versatile that it handles all with style - get the right fin and sail and off she goes!
It was tops sailing with the formula crew - it all makes sense doing the racing together - never a problem on the water, thanks to good management by Nick & Ron and good fun to mingle and admire the latest gear. Thanks to Adam for all the organisation - it all ran smoothly.
James G came out on top with a great display of windy weather sailing on Saturday, but Richie showed amazing speed on Sunday with the lighter winds. Apart from James being a clear winner on the weekend, places 2 to 6 were separated by only a few points. Close racing is always good fun!
Results from the weekend:
For the series results one drop is now included;
The final round of the series is at the Illawarra Yacht Club on Lake Illawarra , March 12th. Prize giving will happen after the racing.
See you all there .
What a good weekend, great location, great range of conditions, well organised, looking forward to the finale at Illawara.
See you all on the water there!!

G'day Bushfire,
Could you please post more info in regard to this event.
Is it Sat 12th AND Sun 13th March?
What time rego?
Earliest time for first warning signal?
How many races (assuming reasonable wind)?
Co$t if you haven't previously raced any of the NSW comp etc?
What colour dress should I wear? Are high heels ok etc etc?
Have foundhttp://www.raceboards.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/RB-2015_2016-NSW-SERIES-NoR-v1.pdf
Which refers to March 19 and answers most of the other questions.
So was March 12 a typo?
I'd hate to get down to Lake Illawara March 12 - and find myself all dressed up with no place to go!
