Great location for some quality racing.
Expecting a solid roll up as I know all the IQ people are coming... Looking forward to it.
The Kurnell Cub race day was another huge success.
With Kids on Techno's and Open + Race-Boards and Foil windsurfers everywhere.
I think each class had 4 races over the course of the afternoon in 12-20knots with flat water and warm sunny conditions.
Thanks to the organisers and Kurnell Catamaran Club for hosting one of the best events of the season.
I'm sure results will be posted on this site soon... If anyone has any photo's then please post or send to me to post on the socials...
Thanks again...Brett
Yep another great day of racing in perfect conditions. Kurnell cat club did a great job organising given how difficult it is running 3 classes off the same start line.
Another master class from the young iQ guys and girls, has really lifted the level of the series significantly this year. Tough for us old-ish blokes to hang in there but fantastic racing
Hi all. I've added some photos and videos to the "Australian Foilers" group on Facebook. www.facebook.com/groups/1377152212346239/permalink/3887825807945521/
Let m know if I should copy them here too.
Also if you are a competitor in the NSW State Foiling series and not on the "Windfoil Crew" group chat in FB Messenger DM me. We use it to communicate especially on race day.

More training this winter!
Great racing at a great patch of water. Thanks to the Kurnell Cat Club for hosting the round. Fun sailing around with the raceboards and Technos. Grae continues his dominance....

We have completed 20 races so far over the season so the next one will give us another drop. It is pretty close in a few positions so there is a little bit to play for!
We have a guest RO for this event - Nick Nelson has agreed to come out of retirement to help us out! Thanks Nick!
Prize giving will happen after racing.
Also have a think about what you want out of next season's series. We will have a bit of a chat about this after prize giving.
See you there
Reminder that the last event of the foil series is this Saturday at Illawarra. Check out your series results to date and get motivated for a final bash. Forecast is looking really nice also.
Highlight of the day...
Thanks for a great last event of the 2020-21 series.... 5 races in a nice 15knots. Racing just off the beach was a bonus also.
I took some video and photos which I will post asap..
Thanks to the organizers and congrat's to the winners....
Yep a great last round to finish off a fantastic series! Thanks to Glen and all the others who put in the hard yards behind the scenes to make a series like this happen. Great to see all the new faces in the class this year partly thanks to the Olympic selection for 2024, the game has lifted significantly year on year and this year was no different. Hopefully we can see more growth next year as the class is just so much fun to race.
Finally big congrats to series champion Grae who basically schooled us all season on how to windfoil
A great way to finish the series! Starting off last year in the midst of COVID, it seemed like if we got any racing done it would be a miracle. As it turned out we got 25 races out of a maximum possible of 30 , had 38 competitors over the season and the standard of foiling jumped up with the IQ95 "kids" setting a new benchmark.
A big thanks to Nick & Ron on the boat (and IYC for loaning us the boat for the day!) and Peter on the shore. It certainly makes it easier when great people help out.
Once again a top performance from Grae, but this time hounded by local sailor Chris, who stole a well deserved win in race 1.
