Will have to see the video when i have more time but that shot Of you dragging your hand is brilliant!
Great stuff.. the whoops & laughter are infectious..Suprised Nick didn't fall off he was laughing so much! Cripes how b close to the sand were you! How deep is it?
How much wind was there and what speeds have you got?
great photos and movies, looks like great sandy pt conditions, that last video looks like your sailing in about 5kts of wind, well done on all the speed and pbs, c ya all soon
was more like 35 gusting to 45 Milsy , was a great initiaion to the place , My knee is still sore from my stack, was to far off the bank and was doing 38 knots in the short sharp chop , i would not recomend doing that !!!!!!!!!! Next year i will be taking more notice of Byron and Daffy , Daffy said to remember this , "the bank is your friend "
Its still scarey going that fast and trying to hug the bank , i would have liked a more mild day to get used to the place
I thought i was in alot of trouble Marty , but today it has improved out of site , i am very happy , should be back in the water very soon .
It was a great holiday.
The slalom was done with 7.6m blowing around 15 to 20 knots. Got 33.5 knots max speed so did Nick .
The speed sailing was done in 35 to 50 knots with 5.5m WAY over powered. Did around 12 runs all over 40 knots of speed except one at 39.9 top speed under 42 knots.
Nick and Greg both did over 38 knots. Most people would not go out just too windy.
Must make sure my 5.5 m is tuned ready to go next year. When we actualy get enough wind to do this in lake macquarie.
My body held up ok.Backed it up with 7 formula races in the last two days in Sydney.Good fun good racing.
How pumped were you guys? Those speeds are wicked and the stack was hilarious. I'll have to try it one year. Couldn't stop laughing. Sick puppies.
Hi Byron,
Glad to see you and the guys had a great time. Looked like lots of fun. Love Nick's laughter - at your expense.
See you have put the helmet cam to good use. Nice video work.
Cheers.
Wayne.
