I like to embrace the light winds and gear up for it. My son shot this yesterday. Check out the extreme action Ha Ha

Nice vid Justin - that Gun looks like an easy rotating sail.
I still haven't used the new Loft yet. How many weeks has that been??

Hi Mike,
Maybe 5 weeks? That loft sail you have would have been perfect on Green Island next time come with

The Gun Sails have roller cams like North.

For max speed I have jammed maximum spacers in the cams and rig it with my stiffest mast. As you know the more rigid the sail and tighter the luff pocket you make it the harder the cams become at rotating. So I am happy with the rotation of this Gun sail as one or two pumps and its has rotated.

For my level in Slalom (a bit crap) I go for super easier rotation as a big part of the race is gybing so I don't tend to add cam spacers. If I am going speed sailing I shove as many spacers in as I can. Of course each rig needs its own tuning solutions.

I'm like so seriously impressed.............there's no way I would be out this time of the year with a wetsuit that had no arms or legs!!!
For today I'm going the polypro long sleeve T, fully sealed steamer, booties and a wetsuit beenie.........nothing less Perhaps I need to move north..........

Justin, you have my full respect!

Thanks for the compliment

The thing is its pretty hard to fall off a 1m wide formula board and with a 12m sail/ 6m luff you really don't want to even drop the sail. So you don't get wet and in the light wind there is not much wind chill. Also light winds requires a lot of pumping so you get hot actually.

If I was sailing a long way out and if something was to break I could get hypothermia so more clothes are required. But I knew I would be hanging around close in with my son who had the camera like a show pony

I remember sailing back in the 1990s in Europe. The euros would be fully rugged up on their coach boats then come the warning signal they would get down to Lycra! in freezing conditions! that was hard core
