Woollahra Sailing Club in Rose Bay (Sydney) now has Thursday fun racing. From 4.30pm, but race actually starts at 6pm sharp.
Just sign in at the front desk, check out the course and join in the fun racing.
Any board that can get around the course is welcome. Raceboards, D2, RSX, BIc Techno's etc....
Dinner straight after up-stairs for only $10.
The Club has also put together a "Join and store your gear" package....Ask them about it at the front desk.

30knots at 4pm made us all a bit nervous, but the sun came out and it dropped to 10knots immediately. 12 Windsurfer's rocked up for the first Thursday twilight race. Raceboards, RSX, WOD & Bic techno's. All finished within minutes of each other. 2 "new to windsurfing" competitors took the honours (Rupert Henry just beating Rob Bell).
Woollahra Sailing Club cafe with its 50million dollar view catered dinner with an amazing $10 all you can eat spread, which will be on every Thursday.
Woolahra Sailing club are also offering a "active windsurfing membership that include storage".
Anyone interested in dusting off their harness is encouraged to get involved.
Just come down to the cub next Thursday after work and check it out.

Sorry about late notice but due to high winds racing is canceled. Some of us will still be training if you are still keen to rock up. Dinner is canceled at club but rsl next door is curry night.

What time on Sunday does the racing start at W? Is it possible to rig on the grass carpet?

Quick update:
We decided to try having 2 races tonight. 1st start at 5.30pm followed by another at 6pm.
It was definitely a success.
14 windsurfers, including 7 kids rocked up and the racing was excellent.
It is amazing how much enjoyment you can have racing in just 5-10knots, and when you throw in an excellent meal and cold refreshment on the deck afterwards, it is not a surprise that Thursday twilight racing is becoming popular.
Hopefully see you next week.....Would be great to see some Windsurfer One Design rock up also....There is about 10 in the storage racks just begging to be used.....

No Thursday night twilight racing tomorrow as Sydney international regatta is on. Nice fleet of windsurfers are registered for the event Friday to Sunday though.
