looks like quite the drive but would this be any good behind the sand bar?

How easy would it be to sail across from la Per?

Sailed over there today - really good almost dead flat water - we were inside that sand bar maybe 3 - 4.30pm and it was very sailable in NW

Big work upwind against NW - lots of long tacks - worth the effort

Paid the price - got hammered coming back when it was gusting over 40knots

Did not need a 5.3 - felt lucky to make it back

I did exactly the same on Wednesday but I couldnt find the sandbar, maybe I went too far upwind from the start?

Was out at La per today, pretty good until the squall came in, I had to sit on my board for a bit until it was sailable!!

I can't see what feature at La Per would make the water flat, tomorrow would be good for this foreshore place, but I am heading to lake Illawarra

Probably needed the tide lower to see it - my mate Al got out there first and had a lot of fun there

it is pretty much exactly where your map shows it, but we were gybing on the other side of that sand bank as it was just dry

Sitting helped me get back - hard work after nearly 3 hours on the water to have nuking like that
