For those raceboarders eagerly awaiting summer racing, 80-odd raceboarders congregated in the beautiful Spanish city of Salou for the 2017 Raceboard World Championships - an event that was held (so successfully) in Queensland at RQYS in 2016.
This years Men's event was once again won by Ivan Pastor from Spain ahead of Nicolas Huguet form France and Fernando Pasqualin from Brazil. Our adopted Polish champion and multi-world champion Max Wojzik could not attend this year.
In the women's fleet, Spain's Blanca Manchon was 1st, ahead of Tulli Petaja-Siren and Aleksandra Blinnikka both from Finland.
Australian Lissa McMillan finished in 9th place in the Women's fleet and Lea Sitja finished in 11th place in the star-studded Men's fleet - well done to both Lissa and Lea!
