Both Freerace (at Sandgate) and Bayside Slalom (at Manly?) events have been scheduled for Sunday this weekend. Is it possible for these 2 events to be scheduled so participants can attend both?

Slalom racing takes about 4 hours (1 hour registration and course setup, 6*15 minute races with a 30 minute break in the middle, sign-off and BBQ). Most people are pretty stuffed after 6 races and a number of our members have informed us that doing both on the same day is not feasible. We have tried to schedule the slalom racing on alternate weekends to the freerace where possible but slalom racing is subject to tides (i.e. need a hide tide) so unfortunately this weekend is a clash.
I acknowlege they can't be held on the same day.
However, given the current forecast for good winds on both Sat & Sun, could the slalom be held on Saturday and Freerace on Sunday or visa versa.
If the forecast changes and there is only one good wind day over the weekend then each group holds its event on the same day.

A number of our members can not race on Saturday due to work commitments etc. therefore we only race on Saturday if we can't race on Sunday due to no wind.
Forecast is looking great , I will load up notice of race later today. If you have not tried racing,
Manly is a top spot to give it ago . Great for spectators from beach and shallow to stand up near the line (save the energy). So come and give it a go . Most races take about 10 minutes so you will get a good chance to rest between races.
Hope to see you all there
Had a great afternoon racing today, looking forward to coming down and giving slalom a go for the first time tomorrow.
There could be a crisis . I hear that The official BBQ Master (Ed) is not available tomorrow. Last I heard is
he has the BBQ.

Don't worry Richie, all sorted. Simon (the fast one) has stepped up to the plate

Ah good, the faster of the two Simons should be able to "sauce" some snags.
Very trying day today wind was just all over the place and shifting.
still got some fun racing in.
Thanks again to the Boat crew for putting up with those rain squalls wouldnt be pleasant out there
Thanks guys, It wasn't as bad out there compared to last time. Even the misses didn't think it was as bad as she was expecting lol. Good day of racing in the end when the wind finally arrived, could have been that little stronger though.
Big thanks to the bayside crew for persisting with the variable conditions and getting some racing in. The 8.6 ended up being a good sail choice but it was a real handfull in the squalls.I think the best race was the world championship race a few of us had in virtually no wind. It was a battle of the gusts and there was a lot of pumping going on, which has taken a toll on the arms this am. I think your misses has qualified for a medal Damien after enduring those conditions. Thanks again for running the boat. The course was spot on despite the wind swings.
Worth the effort and persistance. The last three races were good racing. I'm feeling it today.
There were a few spectators during the last three races!
Thanks Damien for running the boat. Good courses in trying conditions. I apreciate you checking me out when the wind dropped out in the first attempted race.
Atleast everyone managed to get back up and going after the wind died off, and atleast the wind got going again to be able to get back on the boards.
Other than that, Good day out with good company, Hope to catch up with everyone next fortnight.
