I was just talking to the Elanda Point / Habitat Noosa office manager 'Kellie' regarding site availability in the approaching school holidays. She was very friendly and helpful. She was aware that we are Elanda Point regulars and we got to talking about the camping fee increase and especially the impact on families. I pointed out that I am aware of families that have now been priced out of staying at Habitat Noosa. She was very open to listening and has become increasingly aware of the issue the new fees are to families as people are starting to book for school holidays. Kellie said that there is a meeting next week looking at revising the camping fees, especially as it relates to families. They are hoping to have revised fees sorted out by mid-December.
She sent me a rough map of the allocated sites which I'll attach here for everyone's reference.
If you're phoning to book or make enquiries about staying over the holiday period, now might be a good time not necessarily to book, but to re-inforce the current pricing issue to strengthen the argument for revising the family pricing at the meeting they have planned.
