Ladies and Gentleman, boys and Girls (and qld'ers),

Don't miss the next event on the NSW Wavesailing calendar, its going to be huge!! Flatrock September 27th-29th. Flatrock is Just South of Lennox Head, a beautiful seaside town with great beaches, cafes and shops. Bring your family for a great weekend away. The Flatrock tent park has allocated spaces for us on the beach side so if you stay there you will be able to leave your gear rigged ready for each day. Mention that your from the NSW Wavesailing to get into our allocated area.

Flatrock - The Wavesailing State of Origin is a fun event that caters for all standards of wave sailors. There are prizes galore plus a great social atmosphere so get there. There is a friendly but fierce rivalry between the NSW and Queensland wavesailors with a shield awarded to the team that sails hard and has the most fun, last year NSW won the shield. Can Queensland come back this year?

This event is a part of the expression session series with the aim being participation and fun, come along, sail all day, party all night.

For the competitive sailors, there will be a super session final (conditions dependant) to determine the winner of the event. The super session is judged using the PWA criteria and the top 2 waves, top 2 jumps will be calculated. So if you think you have what it takes to win, come along and give it a go.

The local community is stoked to have us and we have huge support that is going to make this an event not to miss.

Sponsors are;
WindsurfNsnow
Ballina Toyota
Lennox Head Pub
Surf FX
Greef Clothing
Black Project Fins

Sign in details and times to follow, closer to the date.

See you all there!
George

I was sitting on the fence but you talked me into it, just booked a site for the whole family.

Been wanting to venture into the surf for a while so this looks like a good opportunity to give it a go.

NSWWA, Can you clarify the area that Kellie has allocate for us at Flatrock tent park? Only asking as you stated above that we are all on the beach side (I'm assuming thats roughly sites 34-43) and others have told me that we have the central area near amenities (69-79)....I'm currently on site 74.

Just want to be in the mix and not have to carry my gear further than I have to! haha

Hi Chopsuey, I'm sure they will be having a comp sign on during the sat morning.
I think it depends on if it is going to be run an 'official' event (for insurance purposes) but I'm sure you will have time to enter if you arrive early enough.
I'm expecting to be able to register/sign up mid morning on the sat.

If you are wanting to camp then this must be organised in advance as there are limited spaces left in the camp site.
I have just spoken to Kellie from the camping spot and she said that all the spaces allocated to NSW wavesailing are now full.
I believe there are other spots available throughout the campsite but I would book ASAP if you plan to camp.

Ps. For all those who are interested, Kellie outlined that our allocated area is the centre section next to the amenities (Sites 69-79) and not beachside.
Not a huge issue, but just thought I would update all.

Cant wait. Hoping for a good forcast....
