Sick
hope to be able to make it again and the forecast is bigger and better than what we got last year - which for summer caloundra standards was pretty good! always good to get a few waves for Jonny

Koda Classic 2024 (10-11th Feb) registration is open for all Windsurfers and Wing Foilers the just copy the address below.
revolutionise.com.au/windwanderers/events/register/215273

This event is open to all levels and is more about participation and having a good time as opposed to competition to celebrate the life of local legend Johnny Koda and what he brought to the beach everyday you surfed or sailed with him and Matt Caldicott from Brissy.

We will confirm whether the conditions are going to be good enough to run the event by Thursday 8th Feb.

Cheers,
Tim

Matt was a local Caloundra sailor not Brissy.

That's true but he did indeed sail around brissy for many years before moving to sunny coast. I had sessions with him at Victoria point, Redcliffe etc..

Thanks Jonesy!
With a good forecast for moderate SSE wind and good waves we are going to run the event this Saturday 10th Feb. Schedule as follows:
Dawn - 8am: Free surf
8:30am : Briefing
9am: 45 min Wing Foil Expression Session/s
10am: 45 min Windsurfing Expression Session/s
1pm: Wing Foil Final/s
2pm: Windsurfing Final/s
4-6pm: Presentation, pizzas and drinks
Note: Start times are wind dependent and we may run more expression sessions depending on numbers registered, so please pre-register on the Windwanderers website: www.revolutionise.com.au/windwanderers/events/register/215273

There will be plenty of free sailing with a low tide at 3pm the outer reef should be working and maybe a late Moffs session on the run in tide. See you there

Another great day was had by everyone who joined us for the 2024 Koda Classic to celebrate the life of our great mate and local legend Johnny Koda and Matt Caldicott, RIP. We had great waves and enough wind to run the Wing Foil expression session where the local crew put on a great exhibition of wave riding.
Wing Foil Results:
1. Trent Gordon - PPC Foils
2. Rohan Creed - Could 9 Foils
3. Ryan Mobbs - Armstrong Foils

Unfortunately the forecast win never filled in to run the windsurf session, but always good to hang out with this amazing group of people. Thanks again to our sponsors Sunshine Coast Boardsports, North Windsurfing and Mystic !!!

Cheers, Tim
