Hi all,
I am chasing a centreboard for an old starboard start. Rare as hens teeth!
But I am pretty sure I can slide an old long race fin through the slot at the top, if I change the top of the fin to suit the void in the top of centreboard slot. There are 4 screw holes in the deck where I can fashion a plate to cover said bodge.
So if anyone in the Brissy area has an old fin that is over 50 cm they are willing to part with to feed the stoke of
my 11 year old son who tried the board yesterday with a kids rig and did really well but a centreboard would of made it better.
happy holiday!
Dave

Dave, hit the dump shops or gumtree. There's sometimes old windsurfers with centreboards you can grab for next to no $$ because a decent enough sized fin for use as a centreboard will be worth a bit of coin. If you're handy, then you could try to make one out of plywood and cover it with a bit of glass cloth and resin to waterproof it.
