Are there any recognised windsurfing spots between Mackay and Rockhampton?
Abundant coastline, so no doubt there is!
I'm looking at an August trip somewhere and include sailing.

Aww cmon Moz, Bowen isn't between Rocky and Mackay. !!!! But yes its a great spot.

You could potentially sail Clairview in an Easterly when the tide is up on the huge mudflats. Currents along the coast are wild so wouldn't get out in the channel and tide range is over 7m Springs. You'd want to see whats there at low tide and wait for it rise enough.

Sarina beach is pretty good, low tide behind Lepper Reef can be fun, High tide foiling in Sarina Inlet.

In Mackay we mostly sail at Far Beach, South Mackay (top half of tide). Sometimes Blacks beach or East Point.
