<div>Day 1: Drove straight to hire shop from the airport as palm trees bending over in the wind, bumped into Jason Polakow in the shop where Paul felt the need to give him a few sailing pointers (I pretended not to know Paul at this stage). we hired some JP 84L FSW boards and a collection of sails from 4.5 to 5.0m. Paul then proceeded to sleep for about 24hrs, whilst I hit the water straight away and was well powered up on a 4.5.
Day 2: Clinic started today and Paul decided to grace us with his presence, morning spent working on stance apparently everything I thought I knew about windsurfing was wrong. Today powered up on a 4.7 and Paul on a 4.5 good solid 25kts gusting to 30 today. Leaving a little in the tank for the rest of the week Finished up with a cold beer watching some videos taken during the day of the group sailing discussing good and bad points.
More to follow and a few pics
Just to clarify, we met JP at the hire shop but he was way too busy to talk to us.
But I did sleep for 24hrs
Meanwhile. back at Manly, you've missed out on a cold snap and a lovely 0-3 knot day today on the Bay.
what does the rest of the beach look line now? There was a massive step down to the water last year from the cyclone, has the beach come back? Looking at the last picture it does not look like. Amazing place to stay cant wait to get back in Aug.
Timford - it does that every year. Sand washes away exposing that dead tree, and then returns. I was there in april and the sand was back. Generally buggers off in summer.
So whats going on ? Where's all the pics ?....
Here you go Richie a couple of shots from sailing in the waves today in the waves. Paul in the top pic me in the bottom. Apparently our form is ****, need to sheet in more and tuck up board,,, but still good fun...
