My second day here at point Jeffery and life is pretty damn fine. I got a sail in yesterday after setting up camp but realised I have relinquished my early planing status to Steve and Greg who managed to get going on their bigger/ race board gear in the marginal condition while I watched them plane away Into the distance. Today was quiet, not much happening, Greg went out early on the phantom and was getting going at times, Steve and I watched. Paddles arrived later in the morning and after he got set up we - paddles, Steve and I went for a run, more like a slow stroll, not much happening. We came in and packed up, showered and I went to have an early dinner. Just after I ate the wind decided to kick in around 5:00 so I set up my 8.2. got back into my wet wetsuit and went out again right on sunset ! There was a bright full moon already up and I was fully powered up on the plane flat out for the best part of 3/4 of an hour and nobody else on the water came in by moonlight and 15 minutes later the wind dropped again, had another cold shower and we spent the rest of the evening around a plate of cheese, pate, crackers and a few drinks. Nice work if you can get it.

All right you lot.

Get off your boards and put down your chardies for long enough to type up a report for those of us back here in the real world. Dammit!!

Arrived yesterday evening. Set upon the dark - it's the only way ;-)

Rigged the training sailings. Lots of sitting around.

John pad is giving lessons to his tribe of ducklings

Pete delate is out doing tricks on his wind sup

Boys on long boards have gone out on a promise of wind. Pete has taken the Ultrasonic out. I think I'm going to practice gybes

Cheers Jeff

Another quiet morning at EP, no rain through the night and hopefully some breeze this arvo, too lazy to even go on a kayak marathon today , ladies are heading into Boreen to lose one ring in kid and do a bit of a pushbike ride, no doubt fuelled by espresso and cake.

Gusty 10-15 SW all morning here with stunning conditions. Sun is out and everyone's out scooting around on their Phantom race boards. Awesome day, wouldn't be dead for quits. Had a go on Jane's Rio longboard and now want a windsup or a Rio, what a great board.

Who was out on the severne?

i launched from Boreen point and came over. Had a few good runs but was a long winded (pardon the pun) effort to get back. I thought I might entice some of you to come out!

Ok Andy. I didn't know you were down. You were going well.
I was setting up when you were out. I would've come in at Elanda but was worried about getting back in the wind as it was forecast to drop off. Let me know if your calling in and I'll make sure we've got enough gold medal pies in the heater!

Looking forward to Morgan crew arrival. Holding off the wind till this arvo for you Morgs.

I've done a roll call and we have all pulled up OK after yesterday's sailing session. Felt like a season opener - more wind than you can handle

Cheers Jeff

Light wind day here today, though a lot of very optimistic sailors slogging away on the lake waiting for that one bullet to get them on the plane.
JV Johnnie has turned up and thrown everyone's radars out by planing in about 8 knots.

Might be time to rest up and get ready for "Big Thursday"

Hope Monday was kind to those of you who had to return to the real world.

It doesn't look like there's any wind up there Brad, break out the longboard. I had to go to Noosa and Yaroomba today and there wasn't much breeze.

Sounds like fun up there. Hoping you're getting the breeze up there that we've got in Bayside Brisbane this afternoon. Got me already looking forward to the New Year trip up there with all the regular crew. Back at work this week after spending last week on Fraser Island - which was fabulous.

Rain is starting, a slight breeze on the other side of the lake. A few desperadoes wondering around looking and hoping.

But...at Golden Beach it is below 10 knots NNW and seems like staying there. The forecast was for STRONG winds this afternoon, but I doubt it. The only bright side, judging by your pictures, is that I did not do the long drive up to the lake.
