Is it possible to sail lake weyba in a easterly? or anyother lakes up that way. Looking for flat water spots.
I usually launch from the main beach at Boreen Point but the usual spot is on the Northern side of the point. Theres a vacant spot of land that everyone rigs on and then you launch off the beach over the road.
P.S. That JP x-cite is a pretty good board
Yeh same fin. I just filed and sanded back the rough stuff. Works Great. Only thing id say is that I feel like I need to have the mast base fairly far forward even for a 6.6... How far did you set it for the 7.5?
Yeah, id set the 7.5 quite far forwards kept the nose down and in control especially in chop. I used to run a 42cm slalom fin g10, awesome to get going and up wind performance. Used to give some of the slalom sailors a run for their money .
Hey Lee, if you find it too busy at Boreen go further north to Elanda Point. That camping site is fantastic. Lawn everywhere and very quiet. Think of heading up there soonish? Camping?
Thinking of heading up there this saturday if the weather is kind to us, wont be camping this time around just need to sail in flat water as im still nursing a bad shoulder ( prob shouldnt be sailing at all but im going out of my mind ) . Everyone raves about it so i though id give it a go. You keen for sat?
We'll hopefully be heading up just for the day. Have a new 91 FSW to try out as well. Flat water blasting has never really caused a problem with my shoulder but I'm not a rotator cuff issue...
