Here's a few photo's from the many I took on Tuesday at VP. Looked a bit gusty at tinmes and a few holes, but those out there looked to be enjoying themselves.
First two are of "Gestalt" doing a wipeout simulation, on purpose he says......
Cheers.
not really,
if you are worried about turning around just stay in close near the shore and you can jump off and stand on sand. the sailing is paralell to the shore at VP.
it's a very good spot for beginners and one of the safest spots when the 45knot storms come through.
Nice pics Greg and really good simulation Gesty, i was returning from a cancelled (flooded) family camping trip that day and will try to make it the next time for some tuition
Wed was ok at SW with 6.1 but i am still waiting to try fly2 5.4 i have had for a while.
What sail size was everyone using
the speed guys were on 6.3m sails, a couple said they were sheeting out a bit.
bump and jump crew were on 4.5-5.5m sails. i was max powered on the 5.3 at times, considered changing down to a 4.7m but kept the 5.3m due to holes in the wind.
eventually it eased slightly and the 5.3 was good.
cool pics mate!
i was out on friday - same spot same conditions
had a ball , only lasted about 2 hours and i was tired... but it was all worth it :)
