Next social day is on at Golden Beach from 10am on the 13th November, low tide should be approx. 1-2pm. Long range forecast on Windguru is showing 15-20 kts plus N-NE so should be good for speed sailing along sandbank. Please let know if you are coming for catering for the lunchtime BBQ & beers afterwards.
Thankyou, Peter Cochran.
What was looking to be a promising forecast is now rather ordinary at best. The latest is for light winds and possibly a storm. All the best weather lately has been during the week...the shift workers are loving it. Pity that does not include me. The good news is that the weather people are never right so there is a chance it will change again, for the better in the next 60 or so hours.
Whats peoples prediction/recomedations of gear for tomorrow? I have family coming so i have to choose wisely ( all my usual space full).
Forecast is still for 15-20kts NW-N so whatever gear you would normally use in those conditions, It depends if or when storms come in again as to what happens.
Good fun day as always. Wind even came to the party for a change.
Thanks to Pete for organising and to all the crew for the company.
Love Golden Beach, just have to work out how to deal with the current.
See you at the next one.
Cheers, Brad.
Another fun day thanks Pete and Windwanderers Crew. Thanks Brad for helping me avoid the rock wall. Current was strong and I would've come to grief if you hadn't helped! Wind showed up late and had a great sail especially the speed run along the sand bank. Look forward to the next one. Jack
