the memories, Scott crawford was the guy looking for fin bolt with the sunnies on . That was my trailer behind the landrover, John Buick was there one of the top sailors at the time . Kevin johnson (one of the best wave sailors of the day )was there, now he sups and foils. I know most of the others but not many sail now.
Used to sail at Wello mid to late eighties. Here is a little clip I took on a super 8 camera back then. Not sure what year.
Yep that was a joint effort back in about 1986.......aah the memories
You haven't aged a bit Greeny!
Can't say i remember seeing sooo many windsurfing babes in the 80s at wave break should have gone to wello by the looks
Are they still there ? or their daughters maybe that might be enough to get me back down that way

Trevor King ?
The awesome thing about that video was that it happened because of three guys.....Neil who was a pro photographer and windsurfer , John who was a prominent Brisbane radio announcer and windsurfer and Leigh who was a top guy with Kodak in Brisbane at the time and a windsurfer.
Over the course of a summer they took photos and formed a story and unbeknown to any of us announced a "fun" slide night at the restaurant at Wello.
The restaurant was chockers, the alcohol flowed, "cigarettes" were passed around and a slide machine connected to a stereo system with a big screen pumped out a night never to be forgotten.....great times
I think i possess the only vhs copy of this and I converted it to AVI and my good friend dan placed it on vimeo.....I have other stuff........
Ah, memories of when boardshorts were the right length...I think I used some of that gear when I first started windsurfing...In about 2005.. Actually the first one was a bic dufour wing with a one piece mast, tie on boom, and triangle wally sail...$40.
