the bom computer model is showing a sw wind Sunday.
first for the season pity tide at happies is going out after 9am.
i'm keeping an open mind on this one.
anywhere from byron to sandstone point is on the cards
Kids are getting itchy, did not windsurf for 3 days.
Might stretch it from Burrum Heads to Yamba . Big gear is ready for them too.

seems further south has the wind this time.
prob should go to flat rock for waves . if it blows in brisbane we'll go local.
hey vando. mtb weather for the long weekend.
Looks that way
i got perscription sunnies. i can see again. maybe an arvo ride?
^ Isnt wind 10-15SW? Are Lake C n Lake W any good in SW? Gusty? Im working. .But if its blowing 15SW after 2pm. Happys/Cal Bar is where i will be looking. 10min from home n run in tide.
the bom has the change coming through sat night. early bird catches the worm sunday.
aiming for 7am rigging.
^^ Sweet 9am start at work. If it comes in i will be there at first light.. Havnt sailed in a week. NOOO000ooooo.......
5-10 kts between sunny coast and Newcastle, looks like you'll have to fly to Sydney before you see 15-20 kts.
BOM forecasts are a computer models prediction, not a FACT.

not sure if you noticed the use of the word FORECAST in the title of the thread and half the posts.
for the record the bom marine forecast is a human forecast. and again the word forecast is being used.
Might have to do an open water run from Caloundra to Moreton Island and back on the Formula.
Take my 10ft tinny. Lookin pretty calm out there

I wouldn't do it unless i had a support boat, supplies, shark shields, epirb and 15 knots of wind at the minimum
no wind sunday.
i broke this boom many years ago trying forward loops at lake c.
finally fixed. just gotta glue grip back on. hope it holds cause carbon booms are not cheap.
we did as well. setup my sons 2.5 on his board in the back yard and work through stance, rig tricks and gybing.
always fun.
also laminated a street board deck with carbon and timber.
^^ Streetboard= Windskate? Great fun. Im still amazed just how fast you can go with a 4m sail in 5-8kts.
Heres a quick adaption to a longboard skatey. Chinook 2bolt base slips either side of tailkick, alloy plate underneath + 3m cut down sail.
YEEEHAAA! Im doing about 25kmh n just about to gybe. Funnily enough i can gybe this thing in my sleep. (misspent skateboardin youth)
Carpark at Powerboat club GB.
when i was a kid I'd use my towel on my skateboard when it was real windy. put one end under my front foot and hold the other end. like a spinaker.
not long after that i bought a 1980's landboard that i still have. needs some new tyres to be road worthy.
