Has anyone sailed a 2011 Goya eclipse wave sail. Was thinking of buying one used 5m2. They seem to have bomb proof construction. What is its performance like. Is it very mast spacific. Thinking of pairing it with a 430 north sting 55% carbon mast.

Very heavy sail. I had 5.3 / 4.7, 2013 model I think, if you're a light guy I'd steer clear of that model.
if you want something bomb proof get an Ezzy. It's a buyers market so you should be able to get something much more recent than 2011 at a reasonable price

I have a 2012 eclipse 4.5 that I have used 4-5 times with a nolimitz rdm mast that is a constant curve like north. It's worked well. The sail is on the heavier side and very robust. It has a nice, powerful and soft pull that is easy to control. It has a good range and quite tuneable with dual clews.

I don't think it is too sensitive to mast type but if you have a chance, rig and have a look.

I'm 70kgs which is why I didn't like them, far too heavy for my little stick arms

I like Simmer, a 2011 sail I would not consider its weight , as I would its condition and THUS price.

Simmer I feel take Constant curve masts, North should be fine.
