Here's an interview/review I filmed with Art (Maui Sails designer) who tried out the CA waveboards last year - he was so stoked he's been riding them ever since and providing feedback for the latest shapes. Was great talking to him about his sail designs in the loft, seriously on to it guy that spends a crazy amount of time working on the sails, cool to see. Must admit I'm a total Mutant convert now

We didn't have a good day at the beach with overcast and mediocre bumpy waves (for Maui anyway!), but Art still throws things around

No worries mate - glad you shared, it's a 'banger'! Should post it on the CA facebook or forum too - sure other CA owners would love to see it :)

Cool paint job.

I've gone back to CA for my wave board after a few years lost in the multi fin jungle. I've got a 80L/56W single fin. Best board I've had. The way it initiates turns, you can be maxed out and have no fear dropping into a mast high wave bottom turn, it feels like the whole board is turning not just the tail. Just a really nice balance.

Cool to hear KJ, is that a Wave V or a SC? I've got a Wave V which is getting due for an update...but to keep it interesting I did a bit of a hack 'mod' to see what would happen, which luckily works and is quite fun. You might be able to spot it in this epic aerial I got

Looks like you went for a square tail mod option. where are you in the photo?

My board is the wave V, 232/56 by 80L. I had a SC about 10 years ago. While good on the wave I found it lacked a little in get up and go for my liking. The SC shapes may have improved a little now, however you can't bet a simple tail in my view

lol that image made my day

If only could figure out how to stay onboard and tweak aerials like that! Yeh KJ I hacked a hunk off the tail, does a few somewhat quirky things but dam fast off the top...perhaps too fast in this instance haah!
