I occasionally talk to David Ezzy on sails ,I like lions .and just popped the Question can you do me a Black 8,0 ,after checking with the factory ,he said yes I have a few Yards .,.so the ball is rolling ,and the order was confirmed through Mark at Surf & Sail .WA ,so my 8,0 BLACK LION arrives next month ,it so happens anyone can get the colours you like , This is a picture of a 6,5 so mine will have 7 battens instead of the 6 pictured ,
It looks sexy , like cat woman . You're going to need to take a bath with candles .
With Bubbles and champagne???
8point 7 ?
sexy looking sail
I'm glad one person got it
Took me a while but it's a windsurfing joke right .
you could of said, it will fly ,especially on the water start .

You lost me there.
If a vegan and a vegetarian jumped off a cliff to see who'll hit the bottom first
who wins?

I'm thinking this 8,0 might be better on a SDM , I asked David he said to test it but suspect it would be as I'm running my 8,5 on SDM , I use north and Duotone mast in SDM but have A 460 RDM Ezzy , looking forward to rigging it ,
I have tried the 8,0 with the 90 %Duotone SDM and 90 % Ezzy RDM 460's ,RDM is better ,it seems to be able to get more belly in it with the RDM ,so better bottom end ,it feels a lot different to my 2016 and 2018 models ,Faster .and seems to handle more wind so stability seems better ,it really has surprised me .Being a custom the materials are slightly different and very good quality .With the new window you can almost feel a more positive feel out of the sail ,very locked in .stoked .it almost feels like it has a larger luff pocket ,almost like a race sail rotation on both mast where excellent and that normal thump as is locks in after the Gybe ready for your next run .Had the isonic tail walking the other day .the idea of taking 2 sails and one mast 8,0 and 7,0 lions on holidays is now a reality

I noticed a similar thing when swapping to 490 RDM, better lower end. Not so much with 430/460, previous masts were Simmer.
From 2016 to 2020 versions, the luff tube material was different and didnt soak up any water to make it heavier. A bit more downhaul tension required and more twist.
Thanks Tardy for reporting back!
Stunning looking sail. I've just gotten in possession of a 2021 7.0, will be running it on the Ho'okipa 460 RDM.
Happy sailing!
Have to agree with your assessment of the latest lion's. They definitely feel different from the 2016-2018's.
I have a 7.0, 8.0 and 9.5, and all of them seem to have more luff and skin tension then earlier models. Definitely more top end and locked in feel.
Nice sails Duzzi ,hard to get in Australia , no Rabbit
I still like the netted scrim on the Ezzy,
I sail near reef so it is a bonus for me ,I do end up on rocks a bit .but they still survive
I enjoyed watching the video, love the black sails
Listened to the designer of Point 7 sails.
Interesting point he made about the de tuned race version having less camber high up the sail which produces LESS LIFT.
I forgot my mast and borrowed a KA flextop mast 430 to use on my 5.4m race sail.
The sail felt awful as in it made the board slide rather than lift.
Tried a bigger fin and it only helped a bit.
This is the second time ive borrowed this mast both and both times i struggled to get enough board lift to sail over the chop.
I think i much prefer using a mast that is too stiff.
Stiffer mast produces more power higher up the sail which improves the lift of the board.
Time to get out my Maui 430 hard top mast and will give it a try on my 5.4 to hopefully produce even more board lift.
Currently using a old harder top Severne Red line 430.
Flextops masts are good off the wind especially in overpowered conditions i think - horrible for everything else.
Black isn't a color, but it does look good.
Bro's giving "the thumb isn't a finger" vibes and I love it
