first outing with freeride session bag. Replaced the older gun quver bag which was a great bag.

The polimit is a little bigger and seems to be built very tough. It has seperate mast sleeves with protector pouch. Straps to hold sails in place and optional wheel base. I should have gotten the base now ive used it. The gun bag had good carry handles but the prolimit is clearly designed around the base.

Fits a lot of gear. 5 sails, 4 masts, 4 booms and wetsuit, harnesses etc.

Today i have 6 sails, 4 masts, 3 booms, 5-6 fins and harnesses. From 7.2 6.2 4.4 3.0 2.5 & 5.7 wod sail

Great bag. Is wider than the gun bag. Gun bag could go beside boards on roof racks. The prolimit only fits on top of boards on my car..

Tie down loops on the prolimit are best I've used so far.

Very happy user.

I had shortboards on the roof last night but switched to longboards today.

The load (being the actual weight load plus the wind load as it is not exactly streamlined) is likely to be too high for the rating of the roof racks and/or rating of the car roof load.

If it cannot be avoided (eg a board or sails in the car), I would keep speed below 30km/h.

6 sails - 30kg
4 masts - 8kg
3 booms - 8kg
5-6 fins - 1kg
harnesses - 1kg
3 boards - 21kg
gear bag - 5kg

Total 75kg

Also consider the wind loading in your safety assessment / compliance with roof rack and car manufacturers' limits. I would hate any insurers' to decline your cover if a board comes loose and hits someone / something.

hi Jake, certainly a timely reminder about max loads so thanks.

on the camry the racks are rated at 60kg. today it would have been on the limit for sure because of the longboards but i think your weights are a little high.

i can definitely get away with under 60kg with 3 shortboards are on the roof but do need to keep an eye on it.
