The Simmer Style 2018 SC Race is in Australia and doing well a 7m has already done 42.5 knots at budgie. Simmer has made some improvements on the 2017 most noticeably giving it a tighter leach.

After using the 2017 Simmer SCR for the last 10 months which I have improved my top speeds on all my boards I upgraded to the 2018 Simmer SCRs.
The build looks good and seems a little more refined than the 2017.
I have had the 2018's for a few weeks now, what I have found so far is that the leech is a lot tighter compared to the 2017 model which has given the sail better bottom end!
Which had me concerned that the top end would suffer, how wrong I was!
First use in decent wind 25-30 knots the 7m on my 50w Speed board gave me a 2 sec of 42.5 and a PB 5x10 of 39.5 which I was very happy with.
The next day I was able to use the 7m again in alot lighter wind 15-20 knots and found it to be a nice fit to my 117 litre board with a top speed just over 40.
Rotation is even better than the 2017 and with this combo I was able to achieve a 24.6 alpha.
We were so lucky to have another day of strong wind 20-30 knots so I was able to have a try of the 6.3m sail on the speed board after work. It was suggested that I take out the 7m again but I was keen to try the 6.3 so I gave it a go, 41.5 knot 2 sec peak was not bad as it was not as windy as I had thought!
I have been very happy with the sails and I am looking for to a windy westerly season!
Thanks Gareth from www.windsurfingshop.com.au/ for getting the sails and thanks for reading!

Hi Soul I had a look and they seem to have the same size luff sleeve just a different colour.
