Below is a placemag summary on the 2017 86l, it had a very good review.

Verdict
This is the most straightforward, the easiest to control in the wind. You don't really feel as if you have three fins . It is both solid and radical. A great compro- mise between speed and manoeuvrabili- ty for hours of fun without fatigue setting in during Bump & Jump and serious assaults on the surf.

I have both, and agree with the review - great boards - but given my time again I would go the Windtech Magic Bullets instead 100%

Thanks I've a kode freewave 86 2016, my problem is this, at the moment my weight is 75kg and no more 70 kg as in the past few years ;
I really love kode freewave 86 I can use it in flat water, medium and strong wind and small wave onshore condition. Sometime I use it in mode single fin, some time in three fins.
Some video below about Kode 86L 2016
