The Board: 86l Stone keel Quad 230 x 59, double concave vee from mast to tail.
The Brief: I told Mark I needed a board to replace my 86l Fanatic Quad which i thought was a great board to ride but wanted something a bit faster to the plane.
The Result: A board with heaps of drive off the bottom that projects you to the lip with speed to burn. Loves being in the pocket on a rail and also feels balanced and in control when you bust the fins out off the top. Quick to plane and feels great in the air.
Used this board in 2ft 15 knots and 4ft 10-20 knots side shore and loving what it can do. Can't wait for the next sail. Anyone want to buy an 86l Fanatic?
Summary If you're in the market for an Aussie made wave shredder with a flash custom spray, give Mark a call. He kept me informed of the progress of the board the whole time and finished on time! A class act.
Nice board. Finally a review that is simple and from a person who knows what they are doing/talking about.
Gooey's Fanatic loves to take you vertical through the lip! This keel quad will be devastating in his hands .... I mean under his feet!
Hmm looks interesting.....
I liked your review too murray but you did use too many big words
Mmmboardgood would suffice.
Cheers Brett and no worries Dan, I'll explain "procrastinating" to you later
Next time I'll defo use more:
1) Bullet points.
2) Keep it at comprehension level 1.
3) Make sure only people who know what they are talking about are allowed to read it.
4) Make sure only people who are good enough sailors are allowed to read it.
5) Try and post some hardcore action in my profile to gain some cred. Yeah!
Haha not calling you simple Gooey just like the way you wrote it and the fact I respect you as a wavesailor and know you can do all the stuff you mention. That helps when reading reviews on here about gear I am interested in.
How does the Keel Quad compare to the Nude Chopper. Obviously the Chopper is a twin which (i assume) would make it more loose. How else do they compare?
i love my quad, so im gonna get another made, drives so well off the bottom
so any one wanna buy a 115 keel quad
