UTurns was good fun last night, SSE, out on the 4.5, few small waves and a few nice jumps. Little bit over powered in the big gusts.

Wind was really Easterly this morning but ocean was just full of white caps, all the swell was blown flat.

Sailable now - just drove back from victor along sellicks and was 20-30 knts very low tide but minimal swell left - was 40+ knts yesterday morning and ugly gusty . We sailed near Oliver's reef at victor this morning - good fun and some nice swell getting in there lowest tide I've ever seen at kent reserve - no water for a hundred metres from beach

Sailed the Murray mouth tonight. Just easterly enough to get a few decent jumps through the entrance and some dead flat water freestyle on the inside. My new favourite spot .

Josh, I think Dave means "Pat Sparks". The infamous PFD inspector.

Sounds like a cool place to sail in the right conditions.

You could sail over to the mouth from Hindmarsh Island if your keen.

Ollie's reef is a fun spot on a ESE if there is swell.

Good old "shat sparks" has been pretty quiet of late. He has still been harassing sailing, boating, kayak crew on the lake at Goolwa - Clayton but seems pretty quiet in the windsurf scene down here. Has anyone had a run in???

That shat sparks guy gave all windsurfers at Goolwa some grief a few weeks ago. I had not met him before but he professed he did not "want" to fine me but would "have to" if I went out. Hilarious as we just went for a quick rinse in the lake after a big day at Middleton. Luckily I got a loan of a PFD and was a "safe" windsurfer.

He is still a complete knob with nothing better to do than fine um I meant protect us.

Good to see he seems to be confining his activities to the lake, not elsewhere.

My dad sails on the lake multiple times a week and knows him from seeing him on the water. He has said to the old man a few times " I am out to issue 100 tickets today" Nice guy, !!

It keeps him in a job. As they say in the government, he is a "Self licking icecream cone"

All of us are paying for his salary (council rates, taxes etc)
In effect, our money is being used to employ someone to treat us like small children.
