Hope the guys going to Robe today had some of what we got.
Yesterday there was only a 50% chance the swell would kick in, well it did, not big but great down the line fun.
Most sets were chest to head high but there were quite a few sets well over head high.
John and Riddles had boom and mast troubles but still enjoyed it.
Pilly, AWOL.
Topped out @ 34 knots. average 25knots.
Alot bigger out the back. I only had a few minutes to take some pic's in between sessions. nene break was well over head high but fat, tide to high. It reformed inside but alot smaller.
These pic were taken near the creek, John's lad want to have a surf.
I had a kite before the boys arrived in Black Rock Bay, Alot more power and pretty all head stuff and alot cleaner between the sets.
Not sure who it was but there was a jet ski there towing in. Clean right handers.
Wind was there at midday.
Photos look good. We left Adelaide on our day trip earlier than normal in case we ventured to Nene but stopped and looked at Robe first. It was 25 knotts at Robe when we arrived at 12 with reasonable swell - the westerly direction had it pushing into the bay with over head high sets and some about 1/2 mast. We went to the shrine (1km past 3rd ramp where the sets were a big bigger) and sailed for 3 1/2 hours.
Still keen to venture to Nene but didnt make it this time as Robe was working.
Mitton took some photos and will probably post a few today.
