Hey peeps,

Had a 2nd hand sail delivered to my house in Mawson Lakes, Adelaide on monday, courier says they left it on the porch at 9am, wasn't there when I got home later that day.

It's a 6.6 KA Koncept 2014 (e.g. last season's model) in yellow and clear. If you happen to see something like that in Cash converters, either pick yourself up a bargain or PM me please!

Cheers,
Trousers

I can pop in cashies my way and see if anything is on their shelves if you like Shane ?

The only other thing I can suggest is reporting it to Police, getting an incident number, and posting a few flyers around your suburb with an example picture of a sail in a bag (with some sort of scale reference - like a person standing next to it) with the number of your local cop shop, the incident number, then below that your mobile number. You never know, you might get it back, like in landyacht's case 4 posts down:

Did you give ATL ( authority to leave ). If not depending on the Freight Co. you may be able to claim even if you did not have insurance. If you did the freight co will not want to know you.
Through my work as a supplier, we are always having shipments advised as lost by the freight co. We call it the big Toll in the sky
I have never seen any sailboard equipment in a Cash C shop, more likely to appear on Gumtree. Hope you have luck locating.
Bet you were looking forward to using it on Saturday.

I've been eye-ball deep in a tender response recently, and just couldn't find the time to get to the depot, so after a few botched attempts, I cracked it and gave them the authority to leave. My suburbs a safe suburb anyway, plenty of parcels have been fine on our porch before...

Fatal error.

So I got no recourse with the courier. It's my own fault.

Jimbob - it rigs on a 430, get a PB for me! :)

Jay, don't expect you to go out of your way, but if you do end up doing a sitrep of the local cashies, just let me know which one and what you find. I have recently got the description of the package (having never seen it myself) so now I'm in a position to raise it with the constabulary. If I can find the time, I'll do a drive around the northern Cashies this weekend and see what I can find.

Thanks for the support people.

Cheeky monkey!

So good news...

My neighbours have just rang me to say the sail has appeared on my porch and they've quickly retrieved it for me. So I appologise for all the kerfuffle, but I had talked to the courier twice on Monday and both times was informed my package had been delivered that morning. It may have been it went to the wrong address, so it took a while for them to work out but if that was so it would have been nice to get a message to me.

Thanks for all the support guys, windsurfers are indeed, the finest class of people around.
