Straight northerly and 2-3 M swell could be a bit of hard work getting off the beach

The Event is on because we meet the conditions criteria "when SeaBreeze is showing Green (amber) arrows (+16 knots) from the NW - WNW"

BuoyWeather at 36S and 138.5E (virtual buoy near the Pages) is calling NW 23 to 31 knots.

Aside from not being able to make it, I agree too offshore. I think half the sailors who might have entered are going to be at the mid.

Perfect waves down south today but the offshore (slightly side) made for challenging conditions but we were still able to hold a competition.
Congratulations to the medal winners:

Open Men's
1st Brett Roberts
2nd Tim Williams
(very closely followed by) 3rd Tim Chapman

Masters Men's
1st Richard Upton

Thanks to:
All participants
Richard and Tim W for helping with setup/pack up
Harry B and Brett's daughter for helping out with the judging.

Some photos coming soon.

That was a terrific day on and off the water. Thanks for the pics oneknot. - they are so good. How about those aerials! Inspiring.

Huge thanks to James for taking on the task of making this happen. Very much appreciated.

Nice. Congrats to the winners and hats off to everyone who helped out to organise an event. Its a shame people sailing the mid couldn't make the extra effort and drive for another 30 mins and be a part of it.

I love the comps, but mid looked way too good. Meteye predicted quite northerly and more consistent wind at mid, Middleton seemed a long shot. Pleased you got the comp in, but previously we did well being flexible on location. Maybe something to think about for next year...

Having said that and having been involved in organising, I have sympathy for the fact that there is always some adverse feedback and too few volunteers to organise!

After looking at the photos, not sure if other Tim might have clinched it with that aerial? Move of the day!

So it takes a lot of work to get a permit from the relevant Council to hold a comp. 2 different locations = twice the work etc.

I didn't even know the comp was on.

Well done James for making the comp happen.
