Went to wrecked to sail but dead offshore and closing out too often, so went to fisheries and sailed 10 to 17knots sw when the change went through, sets were going thru the bay from left to right point, could sail quite close to left point quite safely as the wave held up without closing. No pictures of sailing unfortunately as everyone wanted to be out there, but one of Pete heh heh !
i think picture 5 it would be out with the surfboard, stow the sailboard--nice r/hander
and a very nice floppy leech in pic 1
why didnt they make port lincon the capital!!!! imagine how close everything would be then! the first pioneers obviosly wernt wavesailers! but then again i suppose its the remotness that adds to the spectical!!good work to everyone over there getting those conditions!
Pt Lincoln was going to be the capital as the bay is 18-20m to the wharf allowing good shipping, but there is a lack of natural freshwater which is why Adelaide was selected. Wrecked is 20min and Fisheries 30min south of Lincoln, When we left there were 12 surfers at right point and that was cleaner than left due to wind shadow from cliff
