one week back from MAUI! weather in maui....27-30 degrees. weather in adelaide 7-15 degrees. wind in maui.... solid 25knots plus. wind in adelaide dismal gusty 13-20 knots! going from windsurfing everyday in warm water rashie and shorts..... to back at work up at 6 raining no wind!! is this not the hardest thing ever!!! I WANT SUMMER! or a one way ticket to maui will do just fine!!
You need a good dose of HTFU young man.....but geez it was cold out there today and I was only taking photos! You and Kym need to invest in some booties.
The superfreak looked great Chris.....Gemma would be stoked!
kent reserve is almost my new fav spot!!! exept for hookipa..... hahaha nah it was awsome out there! pitty a couple more guys were not out... my board in the lambergini of boards with the price tag of a old holden!!! i love it. its a sexy board. just need to pay it off now..
I will answer this one, both Kym and Chris purchased quatro freestyle waves while in Maui. We were offered the opportunity to demo two quatro boards from the chaps at the cannery, those chaps being Keith Teboul and Pascal, clever ploy on their behalf, as the next few days all 5 of us became instant Quatro fans, pledging never to ride anything else, well for the time being. The boards we demo'd were the 75 ltr and the 95 ltr. I was riding the 95 ltr (footnote: I weigh 98kgs and ride a 122 ltr board at home, so a board under 100ltrs is unknown territory) - I fckn loved it, easy to plane, light, holds the plane through lulls, turns with amazing ease, just a good easy to use board, eats up chop blah blah blah!. Kym loved it, so bought the 75 ltr, Chris was way too excited and had to have the 85 ltr, Arlo and Anita spent two weeks working out how to import them back to the UK as they wanted a couple of them, stay tuned on that one. I kept my credit card in my pocket (bloody hard) as I knew I would be inheriting Kyms 94 ltr JP FSW on our return (hope she is ok with that)
gero would be sweeeeett in summer! im jelous.. have used up all leave and in debt by alot.... dont think that i can make W.A this year.
that pic is glod! when i own my own electrical company... thats my working hours!!!
hey hey if ya had asked we could have arranged something!! dont know how i would have went dragging TWO boards around all the bloody airports... was haard enough with one! quatros are awsome tho! i highly reccommend.
i wish you blokes would turn around and go back to maui. Since you announced you were here, there has been no wind here..... not that its been much of a winter anyways. Just the other week was good.
Ahh Chris be patient and be alert -There was a nice sail to be had late on Saturday arvo at kent rsve. Mate was having a flyer on his 77 Fanatic freewave and a 5.4 and Harry was blasting away on his 5.7 and Freewave I had a reasonable time but should have gone bigger than 5.4
Watching the kiter disentangle himself from the dry reef (the one a couple of hundred metres out to sea that you can't see till you are almost losing your fin as it sucks dry before a wave) while getting battered by a small swell and then having to swim his gear all the way to the entrance of the Inman river just added to the entertainment - poor bugger.
Watching another kiter trying to hit the wedgey bommie as it broke was entertaining as well.
You might be lucky at snapper if the nw blows tomorrow arvo -or weds arvo in the wsw'r
